NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that bids are being solicited by The County of Placer (the "County") to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, tax, and services necessary for the PLACER COUNTY EASTERN REGIONAL LANDFILL STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. PJ00826, BID NO. 20132 (the "Work"). The Work consists generally of the following: Construction of forebay, vegetated filter strip, rock lined conveyance channels, rock aprons and associated piping and appurtenances. Topsoil will be imported and placed within the vegetated filter strip. The County has estimated cost of the Work to be Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000). Bids must be received by the County on the bids&tenders website prior to 11:00:00 am on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Bids will be opened immediately after 11:00:00 am on said date. Official copies of the Contract Documents for bidding may be downloaded free of charge at the following link: A pre-bid conference for informational purposes will be held on December 1, 2020 at 1:00 pm beginning at 900 Cabin Creek Road, Truckee, CA 96161 starting at the parking lot beyond and to the right of the scale house at the entrance to the Eastern Regional Landfill. The successful bidder must possess at all times a valid Class A General Building Contractor's License issued by the State of California. The Work is subject to the payment of not less than prevailing wages under Labor Code Section 1770 et seq. Bidders are hereby notified that the Director of Industrial Relations has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the rates for overtime and holiday work in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to perform the Work under the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. Copies are on file with and available upon request from the Department of Public Works or at Bidders are further notified that this project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
